Water activities for everyone in South Brittany
If you want to, enjoy the many nautical activities on sites between the Ria d'Etel and the Gulf of Morbihan, via the Bay of Quiberon. Surfing, kitesurfing, paddling, sand yachting, kayaking, diving, jet-skiing... In free practice or accompanied by a professional, make the most of the pleasures of the sea during your stay. Thrills are guaranteed in the Bay of Quiberon! And for a family moment fishing for local delicacies, experience shellfish gathering.
For children, beach clubs are also set up on several beaches in July and August. Part of the program: games, inflatable structures, animations, beach contests, etc. Relax on your towel while your children enjoy fun activities and make new friends.

Supervised swimming on the beaches
During the summer, swimming is supervised on many beaches in Quiberon Bay. You can swim safely 7 days a week under the supervision of lifeguards.
Tip: Wait for the incoming tide to bathe. The sand will have had time to heat in the sun, and the water temperature will be even more pleasant!
Bathing is banned on the beaches of the Wild Coast on the Quiberon Peninsula due to groundswell. These are powerful waves that emerge near the shore and that one cannot see coming. In Erdeven, bathing is also banned on the right-hand side of Kerminihy beach, made dangerous by the currents of the barre d’Etel.

Bathing water quality is monitored throughout the summer season at 37 bathing sites in Baie de Quiberon to ensure quality seawater all year round.

Seven beaches are equipped with Hippocampe beach wheelchairs and access mats for people with reduced mobility in July and August. Tiralos allow you to ride on the sand, and float on the water. Accompanying persons are also there to help.

Naturism in the Bay of Quiberon
Naturism is tolerated on part of Kerminihy beach, in Erdeven, allowing enthusiasts of this art of living to enjoy their holidays in complete freedom. However, this beach is open to everyone! The site is accessible from the Kerminihy car parks in the west and the Roche Sèche car park in the east.
Good to know: if naturism is allowed on the beach, it is not allowed in the dunes, on the paths or in the car parks. The National Gendarmerie ensures good practices and respect for for all.
