Kerhillio Beach
This family-friendly white-sand beach offers magnificent views of the Quiberon peninsula and Belle-Île, with occasional glimpses of Groix. It is a popular venue for board sports such as sand yachting, surfing, kite-surfing and stand-up paddling, and hosts a number of water sports events and competitions.
In summer, special areas are set aside for bathers and athletes to enjoy the beach without interference.
- Surfing and windsurfing: outside the bathing area marked by yellow spherical buoys.
- Kite-surfing: in the south-east part of the beach, beyond the yellow cylindrical buoys. Rigging and launching take place opposite this area, indicated on the beach by two markers.
- Sailboats: in a dedicated 15,000 m2 area, available from September 16 to June 14 and from June 15 to September 15, from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. and from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m., outside the bathing area.
- Dynamic kites: authorized outside bathing areas. A first-aid post is on duty every day from 12.30 pm to 7 pm from July 2 to August 31, with bathing area supervision.
For accessibility, two seahorse chairs and two Tiralos are available, and an access mat has been installed for people with reduced mobility. The beach has been awarded the Handiplage label in 2019.
Public toilets are available.
Dogs are prohibited from April 1 to September 30, even on a leash, and access to horses is restricted on certain weekends and from June 1 to September 30 from 10:30 am to 8 pm. Parking is free except in July and August, when additional grass parking is available from midday (€1).
It is important to respect the flags and instructions for the safety of all. An emergency corridor 5 meters wide is maintained in the 300-meter coastal strip. Please respect it.
