Dis-parures" exhibition at the Locmariaquer megalith site.

Students in the 6ème A class at Le Verger d'Auray secondary school and the 1ères "spécialité arts plastiques" class at Lycée Benjamin Franklin in Auray, along with jewelry artist Julie Martre, were inspired by prestigious ornaments found in funerary contexts, such as the Er-Grah mound in Locmariaquer.

Following a visit to the megalithic site at Locmariaquer, the students were invited to collect "natural" materials on the seafront. From this material, each pupil built their own ornament, in art class, using techniques
techniques presented by Julie. The creative process complements the acquisition of knowledge about the chronological period and the area's archaeological heritage.

This artistic and cultural education project supported by the Centre des Monuments Nationaux illustrates the ambition to make young local people major players in the enhancement, promotion and preservation of the megalithic heritage they will inherit from previous generations.
