Self-guided tour of Fort de Penthièvre
A fortified enclosure on the ocean shore, built in 1747 with the support of the Duc de Penthièvre. The site has played an important role in history, notably during the fighting between the Chouans and the Republicans in 1795, and during the Second World War, when 59 resistance fighters were executed.
Access to the fort :
Visitors must accept the necessary security checks. Valid, up-to-date identification is required. Anyone not in possession of identification will be refused entry.
No backpacks allowed
Visitors are free to follow the itinerary indicated.
