Celtic literature in Brittany in the Middle Ages: the life of Sainte-Nonne, lecture by Serj Le Huede.
Buhez Santez Nonn hag he mab Devi, is the oldest literary work in Breton that has come down to us virtually intact. While some question the Celtic character of Brittany, we have here a pan-Celtic Breton mystery in terms of both form (internal rhymes specific to Celtic countries) and content (events taking place on both sides of the Channel and typical characters such as Merlin the Enchanter). The presentation of the book is completed by an approach to Welsh history and historical myths.
