Documentary - Bolivia
"Bolivia, cultures and traditions
A film by Bernard Bruel of Cercle des voyageurs
"The music played by the country's Indian communities is the common thread running through this film. By meeting the people who make the hundreds of flutes used in Bolivia, we discover different facets of this country full of contrasts: the absolute respect for the "Pachamama", their mother earth, the majestic panoramas of the icy waters of Titicaca, the highest navigable lake in the world, the great salt desert of Uyuni, or the immense expanses of sand and rock in the south of the country. At the same time, the cities take us back to the time of the Spanish conquest. The many historical and religious remains are a reminder of the Church's presence and strong influence on these historically rich lands."
