La Trinité-sur-Mer marina

Chosen by Eric Tabarly to build the Pen Duick II that made him famous in 1964 when he won the second edition of the English Transat, the port of La Trinité-sur-Mer has over the years become a sailing mecca, thanks to the "locomotives" of the regatta who have always come here to learn their trade and pick up their laurels.

The big names in ocean racing are regular visitors to this harbor, which is blessed by nature. Well sheltered at the end of its ria, La Trinité-sur-Mer is an ideal home port for crewed races (500 boats in spring for the "Spi" and the "Tour de Belle-Ile"), as well as a perfect training base for the famous "giants of the seas" (60-foot monohulls, maxi-trimarans...).

Nature has also made it a major oyster-farming center, and provided it with some very pleasant beaches. As evidenced by the presence of numerous megaliths, man has long appreciated the area. Today, they love to catch up on the day's regattas over a good meal in the port or in one of the quieter lanes that make up the timeless charm of the old "village" of La Trinité-sur-Mer.
