Something in us is poetry

RDV de l'Office de Tourisme
56410 Étel
Each of the three tours will introduce you to the "little" history of the Ria d'Étel, placing it in the context of the "big" history of the great changes and upheavals that have marked our society.

You'll learn how and why oyster farming took root here, how the industrial revolution led to a boom in fishing and canning, and how the effects of war were felt between 1940 and 1945.

Free for children under 7.

Visits on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 10am to 12pm.

Wednesday: Discovering the Ria
Thursday: Fishing and canning in the Ria d'Etel
Friday: World War II in the Ria d'Etel

See the full program in the Tourist Office diary.

Dominique Baudel is also the author of a book on the Ria d'Etel, with a preface by Yves Coppens, on sale at the Etel Tourist Office.
