Prehistory of fishing" animation
For the 3rd year running, Alexis Albert de Gestes racines is offering an animation on the megaliths site during the "Semaine du golfe" (Gulf Week), where the megaliths are in the spotlight.
Since prehistoric times, man has drawn an important source of his sustenance from the aquatic environment. These fishing techniques have come down to us through archaeological remains and ethnographic comparisons. From the Palaeolithic to the
Neolithic, discover the different techniques man has developed through a life-size animation.
Alexis Albert from Gestes racines introduces you to the art of prehistoric fishing, and shares gestures and techniques through archaeological experiments. Demonstrations of bone hook making, flint-cut deer antler harpoons, flint knapping to make chisels and thread making for fishing lines and net weaving.
Ages 8 and up - No reservation required.
