Music and literature" through the works of Maurice Ravel
Émilie de Fautereau-Vassel, Doctor of Literature and musicologist, invites you to discover or rediscover the musical genius of Maurice Ravel (1875-1937), whose 150th birthday will be celebrated in 2025.
From an early age, Ravel was fascinated by Perrault's fairy tales, fantasy stories, and symbolist and decadent writers. He collaborated with Franc-Nohain and Colette, and sometimes dared to compose his own texts. An admirer of Margot and Ronsard, Baudelaire, Edgar Poë, Mallarmé, and his colleague and elder Claude Debussy, he delivered a musical work steeped in literary history: Daphnis et Chloé, Ma Mère L'Oye, Gaspard de la nuit and Shéhérazade...
With Émilie de Fautereau-Vassel.
Tickets: Thursday April 24 from 5.15pm in the Hall de l'Espace (100-seat auditorium).
Reservations recommended until April 23: aec.reservation@gmail.com
To be paid 15 minutes before the show, otherwise tickets will be put back on sale.
