Jean-Claude CHARRIER, Camorien painter
For almost 40 years, Jean-Claude's passion for the material led him to use a knife technique and figurative painting. Now retired from the aeronautics industry, he devotes himself almost entirely to his art.
Like the need for a rebirth, he leaves the figurative behind, and returns to the material, creating a process using several techniques: relief and black light.
For Jean-Claude: "Each canvas becomes a story, an observation, a denunciation, a reflection, a questioning without any commitment, in order to leave the free will of thought to everyone".
The full expression of his paintings requires exposure to black light. This often reveals the hidden or unspoken side of things, as an X-ray would do.
