Festival Méliscènes: Participatory puppetry - Le ballet du Montreur
As part of the Méliscènes 2025 Festival
Roger le Montreur has taken it into his head to lead a ballet company. And since he's got a good heart, he's also decided to let everyone become a ballet dancer for the duration of a show, thanks to a rod puppet of his own making...
In this festive, participatory show, Le Montreur introduces everyone to the joys of manipulation with foam puppets offering an infinite variety of movements and postures.
First come the training sessions, where you'll practice pas chassés, entrechats and arabesques... and tip, tip and tap! Finally, a "star" puppet takes part in the finale, while the hundreds of puppets dance to the lively music improvised by the accompanying pianist.
Under the attentive guidance of the master, manipulate a foam puppet and take part in a poetic, funny and jubilant moment! Ages 5 and up
