A day to learn about the virtues of trees and their buds:
- 9:30/12:30am: theoretical time to discuss the history of gemmotherapy, its principles, the properties of the main buds and strategies for their use, and recipes for making them.
- 12:30/14:00: lunch and discussion
- 2pm/5pm: hands-on time with a field trip to learn how to recognize trees and plants in winter, with a basic understanding of botany, observation of their characteristics, comparison with their uses in phytotherapy, picking and macerating, and discussion over an herbal tea.
With Primelle and Lila, herbalists and gemmotherapy producers: meristeme-boutique.fr
Practical details: all necessary equipment is provided, as well as a document summarizing the theoretical concepts. Bring weather-appropriate clothing and footwear for the outing, plenty of note-taking equipment, and your lunch (herbal teas provided).
