L'Écume des Livres" literary salon
L'Écume des Livres was born of a shared passion for literature and a desire to promote culture in the magnificent setting of the Gulf of Morbihan. Our association is organizing Locmariaquer's first literary fair, to be held on June 21 and 22, 2025.
This entirely pedestrian festival in the heart of the village will bring together some fifteen renowned authors in an authentic village, rich in megaliths and 8000 years of history, between the Gulf of Morbihan and Quiberon Bay.
During this early summer weekend, we'll be offering :
- Book-signing sessions under a barnum on the port of Locmariaquer.
- Round-table discussions at the mediatheque on themes such as "How do you live after a literary success?" with Claudie Gallay and Olivier Bourdeaut, or "Brittany, the ideal setting for black novels" with Hervé Huguen and Jean-Paul Le Denmat.
- A performance-sound reading with author Sophie Berger.
- The famous "Dictée pour les Nuls" hosted by Jean-Joseph Julaud.
- A children's area with a storyteller for toddlers.
- An opening night screening of the film "En attendant Bojangles" followed by a debate with author Olivier Bourdeaut on Friday June 20 at 8pm at the Ti-Hanok cinema in Auray.
- Prestigious guests.
We'll be welcoming renowned writers such as :
- Olivier Bourdeaut (author of the bestseller "En attendant Bojangles").
- Claudie Gallay (author of "Déferlantes").
- Nathalie de Broc, Sophie Berger, Jean-Joseph Julaud, Hélène Gaudy, Alexandre Feraga, Hervé Huguen.
- Guillaume Le Cornec (children's literature).
- Catherine Lateux and Wray.
- David Lédan (photographer, "Plumes Sauvages").
