Exceptional opening of the St Julien semaphore during Heritage Days.
The semaphore was set up in 1947 at the Kernavest fort in the former fire direction post following the burning of the Locmaria semaphore in 1944 by the Germans.
The semaphore in its current form was built in 1976. The semaphore monitors the maritime approaches to Quiberon, watches over the anchorages in the Palais harbor, and is involved in fisheries surveillance.
The 1-hour visit is by reservation only at the tourist office,
before 12 noon on September 19 (places are limited).
7 visit slots with a maximum of 6 people each time
Saturday: 10am - 11am - 2pm - 3pm
Sunday: 11am - 2pm - 3pm
ID required - Not accessible to people with reduced mobility
