Alignements de Kerzerho
56410 Erdeven
The Erdeven alignments are made up of several hundred monoliths spread over almost 2 km. The Kerzerho menhir alignmentsThe Kerzerho-Varques complex features several hundred menhirs over a distance of almost 2 km, with a layout similar to that of the Carnac alignments: ten or so rows of menhirs, starting at the western end of the site and possibly forming a megalithic enclosure. In 1884, Félix Gaillard reported 1,100 standing and 5,000 recumbent menhirs at Erdeven.190 menhirs make up the Kerzerho alignments.Route to the Varques wood80 metres north of the western end of the alignments stands a transverse row of menhirs, oriented roughly north-south. It includes several very large menhirs, the "giants of Erdeven", some of which were straightened by Félix Gaillard in the late 19th century. They can be reached by taking the small sunken path to the left of the Kerzerho alignments. An itinerary lasting around two hours allows you to discover a remarkable megalithic heritage through the Varques woods to the imposing Crucuno dolmen in Plouharnel.
